Everest accessible in less than a day!

In order to make the Ultrafondo course accessible to "diesel" participants, from 2025 onwards the organization will be offering the legendary Everest course in rando mode, to enable as many people as possible to reach its summit. With this new dedicated start on Friday evening at 9.30pm, the aim will not be to slam a time (only alphabetical ranking), but to "simply" reach the Col de la Croix-de-Coeur, after 242km and 8848mD+, within the time limit in a more "comfortable" way, and enjoy receiving your finisher medal in Verbier in a popular atmosphere with participants from the other courses.

This course is designed for participants averaging less than 13km/h (including breaks), i.e. more than 17h00 of running.

Key points:

  • The start of the Rando Everest is semi-autonomous, with a reduced running gear until the refreshment posts open. Participants must be prepared to rely on their own resources during this period, and be equipped with a reflective vest and reflective strips on the bike. A mandatory equipment check and briefing takes place at the Espace Saint-Marc in Le Châble at 8:30 p.m. (1 hour before the start of the race).
  • A medical service will be present on the course to ensure the safety of participants. The PC Course (Race Coordination Post) will also be active to coordinate medical interventions, monitor runners' progress and answer runners' questions.
  • No refreshments will be available before the official opening times. Participants must therefore ensure they have sufficient provisions until the refreshment points are operational.
  • The start of the Rando Everest will be given if a minimum of 100 participants are registered before March 31, 2025. If this number is not reached, registrants can either switch to another route, or be reimbursed.
